I read that the cost of utilities will make already expensive rent incredibly high. Does anyone have any idea of what percent of total housing budget one should set aside while looking at rentals to pay for utilities? Thanks so much.

Hi kbpacer,

Will you be living alone, family or house share in London? All these things will effect the cost of utilities.

Also you'll need to check your rental contract - certain utilities might be included in the cost of your rent depending on the lease.

For some guidelines please check out the Utilities in London page.

Let us know a bit more about your situation and we'll try to assist further.
