Expats who enjoy outdoor pursuits will love Lincoln Park’s plethora of attractions. Situated along a seven-mile (11km) shoreline, there's plenty to do in the park. Lincoln Park receives more than 20 million visitors a year and enjoys the distinction of being the second-most visited park in the US after Central Park in New York City. First opened in 1930, the Shedd Aquarium has a rich history dating back close to a century. This attraction comes highly recommended and is a great activity for the whole family. Visitors can walk among exhibits containing 32,000 marine animals, including otters, whales, sharks, sea lions and dolphins.
