Background
Concordia International School Shanghai offers the prestigious American curriculum from early years through to high school graduation. The school is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). Prestigious Advanced Placement (AP) classes are available for students who wish to take them. Most AP students at Concordia score above the global AP average.
Mandarin is compulsory and taught daily from preschool to Grade 5. From Grade 6 onwards, Mandarin remains available as an elective subject and can be taken as a foreign language or as a heritage language.
The student body of Concordia is 1,200 consists of 15 percent local and 85 percent international students. More than 30 nationalities are represented in the school.
