From the headmaster

"Our school’s mission is to be ‘A World Leading School’, which means a single-minded focus on the highest standards in everything we do.

"The British School of Oslo is dedicated to the best of traditional education, in which an informed understanding of the world around us drives a creative approach to learning and effective development of the whole person. We aim to combine the best of traditional educational values with a forward-looking focus on the transferable skills and aptitudes which students will need to flourish in the careers which lie ahead of them.

"At The British School of Oslo, we have created a pre-university learning experience which enables our students to flourish and to prepare themselves for notable success at top universities and in their working lives. We believe that students need to be safe and happy in order to learn effectively, and so the holistic wellbeing of students lies at the heart of what we do.

"At The British School of Oslo, we provide a bespoke pathway enabling each student to aim to study at a world-class university. Our unique curriculum is founded on A-Levels, internationally recognised qualifications provided by English examination boards, which allow specialisation in a student’s final years of school study and create space in the timetable for enriching educational experiences focused on building a student’s capacity for success in the fast-moving world of work."

– James Harding, The British School of Oslo Headmaster
