What the school says

"Thames British School, located in Warsaw, prides itself on providing pupils with the highest level of education, and a wide range of opportunities for personal development. With preschool, elementary, secondary and high school students, we follow the British curriculum from the Early Years Foundation Stage to Cambridge International AS/A Levels and IB DP (International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme), with the main language of instruction being English. Our students graduate prepared to face 21st-century challenges, with skills, understanding and, ultimately, universally recognised certificates that open doors to the finest universities in the world.

"With students from more than 50 different countries and an international community of ambitious, highly qualified teachers, we have fostered a friendly, multicultural atmosphere rooted in respect and acceptance. As a British school, our educational provision is robust and thoughtful, in accordance with national curriculum standards for England.

"Thames British School Warsaw has six sites (campuses) equipped with excellent facilities in and around Warsaw. Students learn in modern, spacious classrooms across all campuses, and we guarantee a safe environment where students develop critical thinking, build up self-confidence and self-assurance, and acquire the confidence to develop passions, uncover latent talents and overcome challenges.

"As well as providing quality education, our teachers instil in our students the understanding that they can have a very real part to play in changing our world for the better."

From the headmaster

"Schools should prepare their students for life and especially life after school. Consequently, education must embrace the whole child and their well-being well beyond the knowledge he or she acquires in the classroom and help them achieve their maximum human potential.

"At Thames British School, your child will be learning in a safe environment which fosters respect for others and its natural counterpart, respect for oneself and self-esteem.

"Your child will be prepared for the wider world by being encouraged to develop skills in independent research and critical thinking, while also learning to work in teams. Being able to think outside the box will be increasingly necessary in our rapidly changing world.

"As most of the teaching and learning is through the medium of the English language, your son or daughter will learn not only to speak English fluently but to think in English as well, an invaluable asset in today's global marketplace. Your child's British education qualifications and International Baccalaureate are internationally respected and accepted by employers and universities worldwide.

"Thames is accredited by Cambridge Assessment International Education, a department of the University of Cambridge. In Cambridge, Thames has a critical friend who not only monitors our schools to ensure the highest standards are maintained, but also provides continuous pedagogical support to ensure that our schools are always up-to-date with developments in British education.

"We believe that the education we offer prepares children to become fully developed and well-informed citizens with enhanced prospects for access to higher education and the best employment opportunities.

"But seeing is believing, so I hope you will want to visit us soon and get to know us better. You will always be welcome at Thames British School."

What the parents say

"I've never come across a school like this, where teachers can teach you everything you expect easily. The main focus of the school is to educate people in the English language, and they do it seriously flawlessly. Moreover, they also teach Spanish and Polish if needed. I'm very satisfied with this school."

– Przemek Bieliński

"My children are so pleased to study at the Thames British School. The school offers quite reasonable prices. If you want to study here or if you want to send children to this school – don't hesitate. The school offers a high level of education under the Cambridge and IB programmes, and they are taught by native teachers. It's a good investment as the school can relay essential knowledge to your children."
