Although it only opened in 2009, Repton School has already made its mark as a top British-curriculum school in Dubai. Modelled on an established English boarding school, Repton places an emphasis on academic achievement as well as a strong sporting culture. The school has state-of-the-art, modern facilities on a sprawling campus in Nad Al Sheba with over 1,700 pupils. Nevertheless, Repton believes that each child has individual needs to be cherished and nurtured. There is an excellent variety of after-school activities catering for individual talents and teamwork. Sport is taken seriously with a number of inter-school and inter-house sporting fixtures during the year.
What the school says
"Welcoming families from all nationalities, Repton School Dubai offers the very best in British education, within the context of an international boarding community, and epitomised by the school’s philosophy of ‘the best for every child’. We are proud of both our international nature and of the traditions and values which have been derived from our partnership with Repton in Derbyshire, England, bringing 450 years of history.
Our clear aim and purpose is to provide the best teaching and learning environment in which all our pupils will achieve their very best academically, physically and socially. We aim to give all our pupils the educational tools to succeed in whatever field they choose to further their path of learning. Through our encouragement of achievement and, equally important, independence of thought as well as action, pupils will develop a sense of personal responsibility and readiness for the demands of a rapidly changing world."
Fees for the 2018/2019 school year range from 52,863 AED to 95,000 AED from Nursery to Year 13. Fees are collected fully in advance, in the form of post-dated cheques. There is a non-refundable registration fee of 500 AED.
From the headmaster
"We are proud of both our 21st-century international nature and of the traditions and core values which have been derived from our strong links with the culture of the Emirates and our partnership with Repton in Derbyshire, England. Repton School’s 450-year history has enabled it to develop a mature and clearly effective school which has been able to mould and bring out the true potential of its pupils. We are fortunate to have been able to draw on the educational knowledge and expertise from our sister school and thus combine the very best of the new with the very best of the British educational system. I am delighted that our links with Repton are so strong and that these will continue to grow in the years to come.
Our clear aim and purpose is to provide the best teaching and learning environment in which all our pupils will achieve their very best academically, physically and socially. By working closely with all our parents we will together help to develop young people who will have all the tools they need to succeed in a rapidly changing, highly competitive and global society.
Whilst this website will give you some idea as to the stunning campus, structure and facilities of this young school, it is only by coming to visit that you will be able to grasp the very positive, purposeful and energetic learning community which has developed here."
– Jonathan Hughes D’Aeth, Headmaster
What the parents say
“Since joining Repton, both of my sons have visibly progressed both in their academic development but also in sports and ICT. This has been a noticeable and very welcome improvement on their experiences in their previous school in Europe. Repton offers a positively challenging but pastorally encouraging environment for the children and, as a parent, I am delighted to see my two boys thriving in this positive environment.”
“The diversity of the school has been fantastic for my children. The atmosphere created by teachers and friends/peers from around the world has enriched their lives. The curriculum has met their needs and they have had the opportunity to enjoy success in many different areas.”
