About the school

Desheng School (International), in short DSI, is a member of Guangdong Shunde Desheng School. DSI is a non-profit-oriented division that aims to provide quality international education at an affordable rate to both international and Chinese students. A firm believer of holistic education, the Chairman of DSI Chen JY donated millions of dollars to help fund this school. He hopes to see his students venture to some of the best universities in the world so that they can become scholars, leaders and global citizens.

The school is committed to the holistic development of its students. Various programmes – including Model United Nations Conference, Future Problem Solving Programmes, as well as both local and overseas experiential programmes and immersion programmes – are put in place to develop DSI's students. 

Curriculum 

DSI has a three-stage academic programme. The three stages are:

• Grades 7 to 8: Foundation Programme for Middle School (FPMS)

• Grades 9 to 10: Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education programme (IGCSE)

• Grades 11 to 12: International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP)

Career Opportunities Guidance (COG)

COG is a special department in DSI dedicated to ensuring that students are well-prepared for their future academic and working lives. The COG team broaden students’ horizons by coaching them on career planning, academic and subject choices, and then facilitating the process of university research and application.

Location

Though the school is located in Shunde, it is only 20 minutes’ drive from Guangzhou South train station. It has a boarding school which can accommodate all students in DSI.
