Background

Kspace International School was established in 2000 and has successfully helped to educate and raise thousands of fulfilled little individuals. The school is conveniently located in central Tokyo but sits beautifully placed in a peaceful, leafy area, surrounded by nature.

The school's alumni have been placed at many prestigious international elementary schools in Japan and abroad, including the British School in Tokyo, American School in Japan and Nishimachi International School.

What the school says

"Kspace is a progressive learning organisation that embraces developments in education whilst keeping essential values close to heart. We adopt a caring and hands-on approach with our children and build very strong bonds with our families. We are a secular, co-ed school, with a young and dynamic staff. Our core team consists of highly skilled native-English-speaking teachers. Many of our team are parents of children on a journey to multilingualism.

"We enjoy a ‘home-from-home’ atmosphere and Western-based schooling in class, plus the joy of the Japanese experience as we are nestled amongst a well-established community. Our philosophy involves nurturing skills for the little explorer, artist, musician, scientist and investigative learner in every child. We provide daily guidance, motivation and challenges, resulting in academic success and satisfaction, and most importantly, happiness. We value play and experimentation as valuable learning processes and draw families to us that share the same values."

From the head teacher

"Kspace offers a real sense of friendliness and community. We empathise with challenges faced by expatriate parents raising infants abroad, children living in cities, students coping with different environments at home and school, and all parents who are guiding their children to becoming global citizens. Many of our programmes are geared towards supporting working and busy parents. We help guide tiny ones through everything from toilet training to healthy eating habits, and are there for them right up to when they grow and need admissions and interview skills training!

"Parents and children love coming to us. We focus on creating quality experiences for children every time they visit us. We treasure all elements of their childhood whilst working hard to ensure the level of education is superb. As soon as you walk through the door, you will feel welcomed."
