What the school says

"We are a small, family-oriented school, located in a prime, lush environment, protected from busy streets. The Swiss School in Singapore is a generously designed learning oasis that your children will enjoy exploring. We offer ample space for playing and sports while preparing children for life with a holistic, primary education foundation.

"With creativity, innovation and highly qualified teachers, we not only support and challenge the students’ cognitive skills but also their independence, self-confidence and self-responsibility.

"The Swiss School in Singapore provides education according to Swiss standards and criteria. Due to its high level of pedagogical quality, it is officially recognised as 'Swiss Government Approved School'.

"Since the Swiss School is an international school, classes are conducted in either German and English or French and English. Students of the Swiss School will be able to gain entry into a school in any German- or French-speaking country, which can lead to obtaining a certificate upon completion of secondary school. In addition, we prepare our students for a smooth transition to the United World College of South East Asia (UWCSEA), our school’s affiliate, where they can obtain the IB Diploma."

Curriculum

The Swiss School in Singapore provides a Swiss-based, yet internationally oriented education, with high academic standards. Students have access to a well-rounded education in German and English or French and English. Moving into the higher grades, SSiS students can benefit from the school's affiliation with United World College of South East Asia (UWCSEA), completing Secondary I level there.

Fees

For the 2023/2024 school year, tuition fees range from SGD 21,063 for kindergarten students to SGD 27,038 for primary school students per academic year. Fees are payable biannually.

From the principal

“Imagine: a superb school nestled in a tropical forest, away from the urban bustle, with ample space for kids to explore and play as well as providing the best care and facilities possible.

"The Swiss School in Singapore is just that. It has everything you could wish for: caring attentive teachers with a modern approach to learning, who are dedicated to providing personalized and individual care and support.

"The creative and physical nurturing of our students is of utmost importance. We teach them the intrinsic values of social responsibility, leadership and caring for their companions within a multicultural environment. These values will be with them for the rest of their life.

"As an international school, recognised with the highest possible standards, the programmes here are offered in both German and English. We are affiliated with the United World College of South East Asia (UWCSEA). For their further studies, we prepare our students for a smooth transition to the UWCSEA or schools that are part of the Swiss or German education systems.

"We welcome all nationalities, races and religions. We regard each child as a unique individual and, in cooperation with parents, we provide for most specific needs.

"So come and enjoy our family atmosphere, our high academic standards, our bilingual approach, our wide range of school activities and last, but not least, our excellent facilities, which include modern classrooms, a multipurpose hall and a swimming pool.”

Quotes from parents

“We feel very grateful and proud for having been part of this unique Swiss School community here in Singapore. From the very beginning with an informal introduction tour at the school’s facilities, we had the firm impression that SSiS provides a very special approach to children’s education in a target-oriented, committed and joyous atmosphere. The environment on the top of the Bukit Tinggi hill – surrounded by Singapore’s rainforest flora and fauna – did the rest to give us the impression of a very special place for development and education. The collaboration between parents, students and teachers has been exceptional here. We will cherish this extraordinary experience and the defining moments in Singapore for our daughter’s education.”

– Ulf Schneider with Leila (12)
