What do I need to do to bring my dogs to Singapore?

Expert Info

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on
Destination: Singapore
We have 2 wonderful bull mastiffs and they are family, An opportunity may come up to transfer to Singapore and I would not leave our dogs behind. I read that a very few breeds are allowed in but have to be muzzled when in public. Our dogs are a part of our entire community and attend community events and sports events. The thought of transporting them and then going from 3 acres to small lots is one thing but this is something new entirely. I can not imagine having to muzzle them when going out. Can someone confirm this information? Thank you.

How do I find a maid in Bangalore?

Expert Info

Destination: Bengaluru
Hi! I've recently relocated to Bangalore, and I've discovered that nearly anything is possible here if you know who to ask. But that's the trouble -- without speaking Hindi or Kannada it's very difficult for me to tap into the local economy to find things like a maid, cook, carpenter, plumber, etc. I need someone to help me navigate the scene: someone who at leasts speaks hindi but ideally Kannada as well who can help connect me to these other local services, and also help with one-off errands (like finding a good used bicycle, etc). Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, I'm thinking of living in Bahrain while continuing to work in Dammam. Are there any legal procedures for doing this and is it common? What are the ups and downs of living in Bahrain and commuting to Dammam? I hear Bahrain has a lot of perks as far as lifestyle but I also hear it can be more expensive.

Hi, I have been working in Austria(Graz) since December 2012. When my wife came and found a flat, then we went to GKK to enroll her in the system in order to have health insurance. She was unemployed and she had to be covered by my health insurance. But from that time point until now, GKK draws from my bank account an amount of money for my wife's health insurance.

Car crash in Turkey - should we import the damaged car or scrap it?

Hi There, We are taking part in a charity drive from London to Mongolia and have been involved in a pretty bad crash just outside of Gallipoli. All three of us are ok but the car got hit on the side by a bus going 100+kph and we are pretty sure it is totaled. We are all from Australia and the car is registered in the UK. I guess we are just seeking suggestions or assistance regarding import taxes etc if the car is not drivable, otherwise ways in which we can get it out of the country as to avoid paying hefty import taxes?

Hey everyone! Although my partner and I are UK passport holders, we haven't lived in the UK for a number of years, preferring instead to live up to six months at a time in different places across the world. This time, we're thinking of Slovenia, probably Ljubljana, although we're open to other suggestions of course!

What are the chances of finding a good job in Saudi Arabia without a degree?

My wife has taken a job with PMU in Al Khobar and I will be joining her initially as a 'house husband''. I am however, amongst other things, a project manager and will be leaving a senior role within the British government to join her. My question is, how difficult is it to find employment once you are in country? I'm also very concerned about the requirement for a degree against 30 years work experience, ie UK employment philosophy against the USA employment 'every job must have a degree' philosophy.

Hi I am an HR professional from Pakistan having almost 5 years of experience. I am planning to move to Dubai and have been applying to jobs from my home country. I just want to know whether my home country experience will be considered or not. Also as I am residing in Pakistan, will the recruiters take this into consideration to call me for an interview. I am comfortable giving an online interview but I am afraid the recruiters won't consider me once they see that I am not based in UAE right now. any help or suggestion will be highly appreciated. Many thanks and regards, Nauman Ali khan
