Hi I am an HR professional from Pakistan having almost 5 years of experience. I am planning to move to Dubai and have been applying to jobs from my home country. I just want to know whether my home country experience will be considered or not. Also as I am residing in Pakistan, will the recruiters take this into consideration to call me for an interview. I am comfortable giving an online interview but I am afraid the recruiters won't consider me once they see that I am not based in UAE right now. any help or suggestion will be highly appreciated. Many thanks and regards, Nauman Ali khan

It is more than likely that your home country experience would be held in consideration - it is the biggest indicator aside from any qualifications you may have that you are capable of doing the job you apply for.
We usually recommend finding a job before you move to Dubai. It may come with its challenges and take some time, but this is usually preferable to landing in a strange country without any networks or immediate prospects.
Have a look at our Working in Dubai page for more on this subject. I would also have a look at our Visas for Dubai and Work Permits for Dubai pages to find out whether you're likely to meet the requirements to be able to work in the country.
Hope this helps, best of luck.
