My husband and I are waiting for our permanent residence visa to be filed, and we plan to move from Austria to SA next year (Jul/Aug 2025).
Can anybody suggest a tax advisor familiar with both Austrian and South African law?
Does anyone know of a consultant company that can help with the first steps of settling in (e.g. regarding authorities).
Thanks for your help in advance...

check out firms like PwC or Deloitte, as they usually have teams that specialize in international tax issues. As for settling in, companies like Intergate Immigration or Global Citizen Solutions could help with the paperwork and navigating local authorities.
I would advise you to either contact Pwc or KPMG. They have offices globally and can connect you with advisors for both the Austrian and SA tax systems. Or you can check with your current advisor in Austria if they have any colleague recommendations in SA. Sometimes personal referrals are the best. Or maybe you can consider hiring a migration agent or a local guide who can help navigate things like local permits and advise on the overall move process.
