Hello out there. Myself (UK citizen) and my Dutch wife 65 and 62 respectively will be selling up here in the UK and permanently moving to Holland.

With the sale of our house, we will be purchasing a property in NL and using the rest to form an investment for a moderate income.

Can anyone who has gone through a similar process let us know of the best ways to do this and timings, to avoid any extraneous Dutch taxations we could avoid, by prudent navigation. Also, when we start claiming out UK State pension (not private ones), will we be taxed in Holland or as per the UK, entitled yo up to 12,300 per annum tax free?

Also, is it better to buy a property in Holland whilst still resident in UK, to avoid Box 3 wealth taxation by the Dutch.

Sorry for the vast amount of questions, but I thought there are going to be quite a lot of UK/Dutch couples who have done the same and could share their journey and advice with me?

Thanks in advance,

Richard.
