Hi, Can anyone advise me on whether its a good move or not. My husband is an IT technical support engineer and I am a peadiatric nurse so we should find it easy enough to get jobs from what I can gather. Just wondering if you go through recruitment firms do you have a choice where you live and do they generally place you with other expat families? Is it relatively easy to get live in nannies there or are creches the way to go? Just wondering is it financially worth it to move with 2 small kids?? Can you save money there?

Hi I will be moving to jeddah in march 2013 and will be joined by family . I have been offered HRA SAR 90,000 annually for the year . Can someone advise whether with above amount , I can get a apartment or villa in a decent compound in jeddah ? Thanks in advance . Cheers Ricky

I have received a job offer as a consultant around a month and a half ago. I was told two weeks ago that the Labour Ministry has approved my visa. How long am I expected to wait before the actual visa paper is issued? Does the labour ministry approval mean that I have gotten the visa and all what's left is the actual processing of the visa?

hii, i had gone for a visit to dubai and had given several interviews and got selected in 2 of the companies and had signed the offer letter of both as i was a bit confused between both.. But now i have made up my mind and i have got an e-visa from 1 of them which i do not want to opt for and the other is in process .. so can i cancel the 1st one and opt for the 1 i want to work for?? will there be any issues in it ??

Hi guys, I might be moving to Bergen in Feb-Mar. My work place is located in Sandsli near airport. Hi, please share your knowledge, I've got an offer in Hordaland region near Bergen,Norway in oil and gas services industry as a specialist Engineer. currently living in Germany. offered pay is 550k per annum basic + (permanent contract,overtime, pension and benefits etc). My qualifications: MS Engineering + 3-4 years of experience though not in oil and gas. is that a good starting? In Norway, is that a common/acceptable to revise salaries after probation? will highly appreciate your kind inputs. Cheers/ Joe

I and my husband currently hold workpermits in Hongkong till Feb '2013. My husbamd is going to apply for the Change of Employment very soon as he is moving to a new Employer. Can I apply for a Dependent Visa along with him before my Work Permit expires?

I am Pakistani and offered job in Turkey by MNC with resident permit. I am offered SAR 12k per month(includes basic + housing approx SAR 2200). Coming from USA.

The is non managerial job in jeddah (near Al-Tahleyah). I wanted to know; is this enough for family of four? what schools are in that area for expats? what are the housing options for non managerial staff expats in that area? Or what area would you recommend for us keeping job senario in mind.

Hello there, I am wondering if there is anyone who can give me some advice regarding my particular situation, especially from an ESL teacher's perspective. I have recently been offered a position as a live-in English tutor for a senior-level medical professional in a small city in southern Turkey. This Turkish doctor has not been able to improve his English fluency even though he has been taking lessons at various times. I suspect the lack of improvement is due to a lack of continual practice, especially living in the interior region where English expats are not the norm.

hi, i am a fresh graduate from college. my father is working in shanghai and he is processing my mother's dependent visa so she could stay there for long. i would like to work there, too. is it necessary for an expat to have a working experience before coming to china? i mean, are there gonna be some problem if i apply for working visa here in my country if i don't have working experience. my father said to me that he will help me find employment there and maybe he can recommend me to the company he's working in. is it illegal for relatives to work there in the same organization?
