My husband is retiring next year and we're planning on migrating from the UK to Cyprus. He has a sizeable pension, but we're still wary of the cost of living in Cyprus. Ideally, we want to sell our house here and buy something quaint in a village in the South not too far from Limassol. Can anyone give an idea of cost of living - how much would you anticipate spending monthly to have a decent comfortable lifestyle?

Can you use Skype in Dubai, or is it banned? If I already have it installed on the laptop I plan on bringing, do I need to remove it?

Hi - I'm soon to leave the UK for Nairobi to take up a project post with an aid agency. I'd thought of shipping out a fairly new Jeep Compass (2.2 litre diesel) that I own, on the basis that I could stick it into a container together with some personal effects. Questions:- 1. Are Jeeps reasonably well serviced in Nairobi? Spares availability? 2. I understand that I can import this (and my personal effects) free of duty.
