Hello - My family is moving to Manchester from Australia for my husbands work. We have three children aged 12, 10 & 9. We would initailly like to rent a house in the suburbs if not a little rural with some land and up to 5 bedrooms for guests visiting from Australia. What are the requirements for foreigners to rent property in Edinburgh?

Hi. I'm a single mum with a 3 year old toddler from Singapore and intending to stay in Edinburgh for long. I'm holding on to a Singapore passport but my child is on British passport. Not too sure if letting agents in Edinburgh will rent out flats to foreigners and what are the extra costs that I should look out for? Where in Edinburgh would be good and affordable with suitable schools for my child? Also, can I apply for broadband services on a foreign passport? Would appreciate if someone could guide me through the process. Thanks!

Hi, My husband and I are planning to move to Dubai from Croatia for work and I have a question. If a work permit for a man is issued in Dubai, is that permit valid in the whole Gulf Cooperation Council or only in Dubai? Thank you!

Best schools and house if I work on Muthangari Drive in Westlands?

Destination: Nairobi

Dear all, I am lost and need some help please. My husband has just been offered a job on Muthangari Drive, off Waiyaki Way, Westlands. I have three children (son 7, daughters 6 and 5) and would like to put their names down at schools for next April (the earliest time we can move) but I don't know where as we haven't moved to Nairobi yet. I'm after a private international school. We are British/Australian. My son needs smaller classes and more individual attention but I'm otherwise flexible.

Advice on International Schools in Kuwait?

Hi All,
We have an opportunity to move to Kuwait from Calgary, Canada and I was wondering if anyone can give me more up to date feedback on the International schools in Kuwait. IB or Canadian school is what we are looking for in grades 2 and 7. Girls, English speking only.
We are very familiar with the schools in Qatar and we will be looking for something comparable to the American school there.

Recommendation for good secondary school to support Spanish learning?

Destination: Madrid

We will possibly be in Madrid Jan - Mar 2016 and I'll need to find a secondary school for my 8th grade/14 yr old daughter. Ideally a school where there will be some support for her as an intermediate Spanish speaker, and maybe one that would allow her to enroll for a partial day and we would homeschool the other part of the day.

Secondary schools allowing partial day + homeschooling in Mexico?

Hi,

We will be in Mexico City (or elsewhere in Mexico) from Jan - March 2016. I am looking for recommendations for private schools for my 8th grade daughter (14 year old) that will allow a partial day, so we can homeschool the rest of the day. Perhaps a bilingual school that will give some classes in Spanish?

How do we get work permits for Ireland?

Hi there, my boyfriend and I want to move to Ireland next year, from South Africa, after we get married. My brother lives there so we want to join him. Could anyone give us advice on where to start. He does have a dutch passport but this wont help us with Ireland. Are we able to find jobs and move over, or is there a way to move and find jobs when we get there? Thanks!

Are pitbull breeds allowed as service dogs in the UK?

I'm wanting to move to London but I know that they have banned pitbulls and pretty much anything that resembles one. My service dog is a mutt but definitely has pitbull in her. Since she is my service dog and she helps me with day to day life I can't just simply rehome her move without her. Since she is a service dog will they let me keep her? Also will she have to be quarantined?

Do we have to pay for our son to go to school in the UK or are there options to go to school with no fees like here in Canada?

Hello we are thinking of moving to the UK for my husband to teach. I was also going to look for work so that we have two incomes but then we found out that anyone coming to the UK that is not a European citizen has to pay for their child to go to school. This is a huge concern because we aren't sure we will earn enough at first to afford our life expenses as well as school fees. Is this definitely something we will have to deal with or can Canadian kids attend school with no fees?

I RECENTLY GOT AN ONLINE OFFER LETTER TO WORK WITH IRANIAN HOSPITAL - DUBAI. I WAS THEN REFFERED TO STARWAYS TRAVELLING AGENCIES TO PURCHASE VISA/WORK PERMIT AND CATER FOR THE EXPENCES OF THE TWO DOCUMENTS. THE TRAVEL AGENCIES HAS AGAIN SENT A VISA APPLICATION FORM WHICH I FEEL SHOULD BE VERIFIED TO AVOID BEING CONNED KINDLY HELP CHARLES MOGERE OGUTU

Guide/translator for medical treatment in Beijing?

Destination: Beijing

We will be coming to Beijing for a cancer treatment not available in the USA and do not speak Mandarin. The hospital has no English speaking doctors. Does anyone know or can recommend an English speaking guide that help us to communicate with the hospital and accompany us during the treatments? Total of 9 treatment sessions of 2-3 hour duration over an 18 day period.
