Hi to my Well Wishers, Finally, I applied for Critical skills work permit VISA through VFS Global. How much time it actually takes to know the status of my VISA? I have a tracking link but it just shows SA embassy collected the VISA application. I'm curious to know the each n every update on this. Please help me if there is anyway to check or track my VISA. FYI... I submitted all the required documents with original proofs. I request anyone of you all to take some time for me and help me with the info. Your help is much appreciated. I am a Hong Kong resident who has been offered a job in Bucharest, which starts in early August. Would I be able to enter Romania without a long-stay visa and apply for a work visa once in Romania?

Great forum! My wife traveled to Oman last month April with a working visa through an Agent in Nigeria. She paid Nigeria Agent about $1,000 and Agent promised IT Engineer job. She got the Visa to Oman hoping to resume in an IT company but on getting to Oman, she resumed as an House Maid. Life hasn't been easy for her over there. They've collected her passport. Pls advise, what Can we do? Life isn't funny over there.

My name is Pam and I am from the US presently living in South Africa but wanting to move to the Algarve with a friend next year. I am concerned about health insurance and wonder if it is possible to get private health insurance for cover in Portugal from a Portuguese company rather than the exhorbitantly expensive international companies which advertise it. I have a British passport as well as a US one if that makes any difference. With Brexit approaching I don't think I will be covered by EU insurance but I want private insurance anyway. Can anyone help?

I have just received a job offer to work as a PE Teacher in the UAE for the Ministry of Education.

The job is to work in Arabic schools. Due to the recruitment agency being fairly vague I have a number of questions to ask people. If anyone on here could help me I'd be greatly appreciative.

I am a 52 year old married guy, moving to Abu Dhabi without my family. I will be looking to get someone to look after my apoartment and cook for me on daily basis, but who will not be living in. I can imagine agencies who deliver this type of service. Not sure where I will be living yet, but likely in common upmarket expat area. Any experience?
