My partner and I are retired and have recently moved to Portugal and are thinking of Settling in the Olhos da Agua area as we have been told it has a good expat community. Is this true? We would also like to know whether there are any expat clubs or voluntary/charity organisations in the area that we could get involved with. In addition does anybody know of any 2 bedroomed properties for long term rental in this area as we have not had much luck finding anything so far. Thanks Jean

Where can I find teaching space for private English classes in Valencia?

Expert Info

Submitted by Gillian on
Destination: Valencia
I'm looking to start private english classes in Valencia. I have had a lot of interest from an ad that I posted online so I now need to find a place to hold the classes. In San Sebastian there was a cultural centre which was a perfect place to teach but I haven't found anywhere suitable in Valencia yet. Ideally I would like to find a place with free wifi, quiet but where I'd be able to play audio files and we could talk at full volume. Does this place exist in Valencia? Thanks for your help!

Hi all,

I shall be moving to NYC in January, from London UK. Fortunately my employer shall cover my rent for 6 months (up to $5k/month). On top of that, I will be making $160k base.
Where is a decent spot for a 30yr bachelor with no baggage. I like to eat at a very nice place once a week, visit the theatre once every couple months, and hit a trendy club (hip hop/rnb) every other friday/saturday night.

We are a married Scottish couple who have lived in Turkey for 6 years but are pondering a move to Kos but I fear the cost of health ins may be a stumbling block. We are in good health and non smokers. My age next birthday is 59 and my wife will be 63 next summer. We have had ins here in all that time but only pay £800 per year between us and I cant see that in Greece? Any info on companies to try?

How do I get foreign exchange out of Angola?

Expert Info

Submitted by fraybenthos on
Destination: Angola
Hi all. I have an Angolan client who deposited USD in his account in Angola and submitted all the paperwork to send it to my company to pay a long overdue invoice. This was 11 weeks ago. The manager of his branch (BAI) has told me ion several occasions that the money has been sent, but his last message was that the director of operations at head office was handling the transfer. No one at head office will come to the phone, BNA aren't saying anything and UKTI have said that there is nothing they can do.

What type of visa should I apply for my wife for Saudi Arabia?

Expert Info

Submitted by lhockenbury2 on
Destination: Riyadh
I recently asked a question regarding getting a visa for my wife who is from Thailand (cannot enter Saudi on a work visa). I am here on a 5 year multi-entry business visa for 6 months total with several trips in and out of KSA. I was told it was possible to get a visa for her to come to Saudi with the help of sponsorship thru my company. However, they did not specify what type of visa I should apply for which is critical as I do not want to have it rejected.
