Any reviews of schools of Abu Dhabi?

Are there any expat parents out there who have children at any British curriculum schools in Abu Dhabi. We are coming from Australia and it seems that the Australian school doesn't have a good reputation. It would be great to get impartial advice on the schools. Thanks.

I am South African and will be marrying a Brazillian. He will be moving to South Africa in June with his 10year old daughter and she doesn't speak English. What is the best thing to do regarding her schooling? I am unable to find any schools that are able to teach her English and allow her to continue the school year. Do I just let her do English lessons for the rest of the year and then put her in a school next year? We will be working full time. Are there any schools that are able to teach English and take care of her from 8am - 5pm? Is a home tutor / child minder better?

Hi there

I'm moving to China in a few weeks to take up a position in Guangzhou. I've heard that Foshan is cheaper, so I'm considering staying there and commuting in. But will I have to go into Guangzhou for other reasons like shopping?

Also, my kids and husband will be coming in a few months and I want to start looking at what their options are. Can anyone give me any help on this?

Thanks so much,

We're moving back to the UK after being away for five years. We've both been offered jobs in Manchester and not having lived over there for a while could do with some advice about house prices/areas etc. We've been sent some information and registered with Bridgefords estate agents but really need some more, as well as general advice about how to manage a move from so far away. Has anyone done this before and can offer tips? Thanks in advance.

Destination: India
Pls advise! I am an NRI living in Britain for last 40 plus years. Last year my mother became ill and i have had to come back and forth from india. Since last April 2013 i came to india for one month. Went back to uk, and returned for one more month. This year, i came to india on 17th jan and want to return to uk on 15 May. This would be a total of 181 days. From what i understand i am still classified as an NRI as long as i do not remain in india for more than 182 days. But is this for a continuous period or is it the total number of days within a financial year?
