Visas for Dubai - Is it possible for an employer to obtain education certificates without an employees education certificate.

Expert Info

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on
Destination: Dubai
Can someone help? I have been offered a senior position in Dubai and have started the visa process only to be asked for my education certs as I do not have a degree my employer has asked for my GCSE's, however I have lost these certs over the years as I left school over 20 years ago and the certs have gone walk about.

The exam boards don't hold copies so basically I have no education certs available for attestation. Can my employer still obtain a work permit with a different job category and if so how does this work? Thank you in advance

Hi All, My husband myself, and my toddler are moving to Abu Dhabi in August.

I am tearing my hair out with the decisions of what I need to ship and what would be cheaper to buy over there.

For example -should I ship kitchen items like pots and pans etc? Linen? Or just come with the bare esssentials and re buy when we get there? We are not planning on shipping any large items like furniture etc

Any advice would be greatly appreciated,

Regards, Sacha

Seaman previously worked in Norway - can open a bank account?

Expert Info

Destination: Norway
I've worked in Norway many times as a seaman.
I have recieved bills from the Norway tax people many times also but my work have always said to ignore these and that they will handle them - because I am to pay UK tax and as such the double taxation treaty needs to be enforced. I presume my workplace then proves that I am paying UK tax because eventually (usually after a year of threatening letters) the debt is cancelled.

Husband is moving to Khamis in May, hopefully myself and toddler to follow by Oct. He will be employed by the Alsalam Aircraft Co for their F-15 program. Anyone have info on the compound most likely used? (Family housing) We were told there are two sides to the compound, one American, one British. Also we were told the name of the compound was "the scene"? (That's what it sounded like on the phone anyway) we have asked a few times for pics and detailed info about the compound, but keep being told they will get the info to us and so far, nothing.

I am an American, married to an American with an Irish citizenship, which makes him an EU citizen. We want to retire to London. As I understand EU law, we may live there and I, as his spouse, may do so, also. Can someone point me to where I can find the laws and regulations on this? (I am a retired US lawyer but don't want to practice there). Thanks

Background 1. I am an Indian citizen and a management consultant working in a reputed consulting company in India and am in the final stages of discussion for a new job in South Africa with another Consulting company. My primary motive for moving to South Africa apart from the fact that I really liked the place on a recent family vacation to that country, is that my wife is moving to that country on a new job assignment. 2. I should get the final offer in a week's time post which I will be resigning from my current organization. 3. My new employer would be sponsoring my Work Permit.

Hi, I have been offered a salary of AED 26,000 with accommodation provided, the rest of the possible expenses will be coming out from my pocket (car, utilities, food, ticket, etc).

I'm a bachelor with no dependent, I don't live a luxury life but I'd like to go out sometimes.

At my current job I'm saving around USD 3000 monthly, do you think I will save more when I move to Abu Dhabi maintaining the same life style? Any comments are appreciated. Thank you.
