Due to various reasons i haven't had time to use my Visa yet ( although i activated it). Im planning on heading to Australia this year. However big bombshell ive just re-read all the literature and it looks like i need to have lived in Oz for at least 2 years if i wish to apply for a RRV. Is this still the case and are there any ways around this?
My date of 'must not arrive after' is Feb 27 2018.... so i think im screwed before i even get there.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I am australian and my partner is italian citizen, I have done the tourist visa many times but am needing to find a more permanent answer. We have just purchased a house in milan in his name. What is the best/fastest/safest option for me to take residence. I was looking at starting studdies there, but don't know if it's better to take a work visa instead? I want in the end permanent residence/rights. I'm also entitled to a british passport but with brexit now I think it's not really helpful?

I'm wondering if there is a lot of discrimination against LGBT people in Romania? I'm gay, but more obviously, I'm also a trans male. I'm planning on taking an extended visit to Romania within the next couple of years, but I don't actually know if I'll be able to get my ID's in order before that time/ be able to pass successfully/ etc etc.
