Hi James, you can get a 1 month tourist visa first then can apply for a longer one at a later date.

Currently (2020) only US passport holders can get the 1 year visas, however, the 1 year tourist visa will require you to make visa runs (exit & return) every 3 months. Legislation has now been passed that will require these individuals to make visa runs every 30 days as of July 2020.
