Hi, I am planning to move with my wife and new born child to Abu Dhabi or Dubai. I am working in IT industry as frontend developer. I would like to ask you what do you think about Abu Dhabi and Dubai from your perspective as you are there - would you choose Dubai or Abu Dhabi again with the knowledge which you have right now. We are going to UAE with a plan to save money to build a house in our homeland :) We prefer more calm life rather than parties and similar activities. Although I like sport a lot - mostly cycling on racing bicycle, gym. I like to come to work by bicycle everyday.

Hi We have recently been looking at buying a property in Spain but have been put off slightly by the cost of legal fees etc We have just heard that if we moved to Portugal and became residents I could take my drawdown pension without incurring any tax costs, needless to say this has drawn our attention to Portugal. Can anyone give me any information on this and confirm that it is as good as it seems. Regards Jon

Help with concerns about moving family to Romania from USA?

Hi there! My husband is originally from Romania and we currently are living in the U.S. We have a 1 & 2 year old and were considering moving to Timisoara Romania as all of our family and friends are there. I was wondering how the schools are and what quality of life our children would have as opposed to the U.S. It seems as if there is no culture here in the U.S and many other issues arising that I cannot wrap my head around.

First of all hello to everyone!
I'm a 20 years old man from Venezuela and I'm planning on moving to Ireland on a few months with my cousin who is living there.
About me:
-I have european passport and nationality, Italian to be specific so that's good because I won't have visa issues and those kind of things.
-I've been studying Software engineering for 2 years that's half the career so I don't have a college degree. But I got pretty decent knowledge about programming due to working experience and my Webmaster diplomat.

Does expired unused entry work visa for Qatar really need to be cancelled?

Expert Info

Submitted by johnex on
Destination: Qatar
I have been issued an entry work visa but it was never been used and has not been stamped on my passport. The said unused entry work visa has already expired. Now, a new company wants to hire and apply a new entry work visa for me but they informed me that the previous entry work visa (which already expired) needs to be cancelled first. I referred my case to the embassy of Qatar here in my country and they informed me that once the entry work visa expires, it is considered cancelled or not valid. Now I'm confused.

Does anybody here also has an expired visa? I was working on my previous company who failed to renew my working visa, now that I found a new company they cannot process a new visa for me because Im not sure if its the immigration or lmra that is rejecting my visa application. The lmra informed my new sponsor that my previous employer has to pay 1,000BD for the penalty of letting me work while my visa is expired. Is there any chance that I can work again? and will be the procedures to follow to solve my case? please give me some info about this. Thank you.
