How can I bring my dog to Bahrain?

Please provide experience or information on how to travel to Bahrain with my dog. He's a Brussels Griffon. I have read they cannot be in the cargo hold from May to September but most airlines don't allow them in cabin. I don't want him in the cargo hold anyway.
