Hi, I am an Indian Citizen, working for an MNC for last 8 years. I have got an opportunity of transfer to South Africa branch of the same company. If my company applies for ICT, I think my wife (also an Indian citizen) cannot work in SA - Am I correct in this? If so is there any provision or type of WP (like Critical skill - I am an comp sc. engineer with 10+ years exp), which I can apply which will allow my wife also to work in SA. She is an electronics and telecom engineer, working on software industry for last 6+ years.

Is Paris safe for expats following the terrorist attacks?

Expert Info

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on
Destination: Paris
Hi there,

We were busy planning a move to Paris for the new year but following this weekends terrorist attacks we are seriously reconsidering the move.

Are there any expats in Paris that can comment on safety. Are tensions high following the attacks? Do you think people are fearful of follow-up attacks? What is the mood like in the city?

If you are currently in the city - what safety precautions are in place? Are certain areas out of bounds?

Your advice would be much appreciated.

Regards

Sally

Hi I'm a British expat working for a Saudi subsidiary of a large British company. I'm new out here and having a few concerns i'm hoping people can put my mind at rest: 1. The company seems to be using almost entirely Business visas to employ British staff, as far as I was aware this is illegal? The response I get is ''everyone does it'' Am I legally employed? Would y contract revert to the UK company? Just how much of a risk is it? 2.

Getting into a good secondary school in Ireland?

Expert Info

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on
Destination: Ireland
We are an American family. My husband has Irish citizenship through descent; the rest of us do not. We are strongly considering relocating to Ireland in less than 2 years. I can take early retirement from my government job and have a reasonable pension. We can use other retirement funds to live off of, so working in Ireland is not essential (but we might eventually like to find some type of free-lance or odd job to do). Our youngest daughter, currently 14, is keen on finishing her secondary studies in Ireland and staying on through university and becoming a citizen.
