Expiry of Labour card and UAE Residence visa

My labour card has expired on 09/11 and my residence visa is scheduled to elapse on 14/12.What is the procedure? As I still have unfinished work of my owner in India.Can I come for medical and other documentation in Dubai and leave before my card is renewed or do I have to wait and take the card along with me? How long is the whole process? Please advise anyone
