I was wondering if there are many Australian retirees living in Fiji.

Immigration to Fiji is very strict, however. Before you start planning your retirement in Fiji, it is advised that you first check if you are legally permitted to reside in Fiji. If you intend to settle down in Fiji but don't want to work or set up a business, you would need to apply for the Residence Permit on Assured Income.
