Hi there,
I have a Serbian girlfriend who is studying in Belgrade, and I am interested in spending a year working in Serbia. I am a Computer Science gradute from the UK and would be looking for a remote job or maybe a job in Belgrade. I have previously lived in Belgrade for 3 months and enjoyed it thoroughly. I hold both a British and German passport and nationalities. I was wondering if it is possible to get a one year visa, and if it is possible to have a remote job from the UK or Germany, or if I would need to find a Serbian job for this, and how that process would work. Any advice would be appreciated,
Thanks, Ollie

Hi there,
There are several options available for living and working in Serbia. The two most viable options are the temporary residence permit and the sole proprietorship visas. Both of these visas are valid for a year and allows holders to live, work or study in Serbia. Holders must prove they have up to three months' worth of income by Serbian standards.
As a sole proprietor, you will also need to register your sole trader business and complete tax registration within 15 days (preduzetnik). You will then be able to apply for a work permit which would allow you to legally work in Serbia.
We encourage you to visit the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs website for the latest and most detailed information on visa requirements. I hope this helps and good luck on your move!
