Is 11000 SAR per month including housing is a good salary to live in Riyadh with for a family of 4? How much can I save from this? Basically, I am from India planning to move to Riyadh.

Hi! It is very hard to say what is a good salary, as people's needs and lifestyle obviously differ a lot.

Generally speaking, Riyadh isn't that expensive when you compare it to cities like Dubai or Abu Dhabi. The things that will be most expensive is accommodation and schooling for your children. Will your employer pay for your accommodation? Your children will most likely have to attend an international school which can be extremely expensive. It would be advisable to try and negotiate these fees as part of your contract as well.

For a basic idea of the cost of living in Riyadh, have a look at our Cost of Living page. You can also look at websites like Numbeo.com or Expatistan.com to get a clear idea of average salaries and cost of living.

Hope this helps. Rianca
