Hi all,
I’ve been having thoughts of moving to Nigeria and work there. I’m a female from Singapore. Single and have roughly 2 years+ plus of experience in engineering sector. More to building construction and air conditioning.
I was wondering — will I have any opportunity to work in that country? And I’m not sure where to start planning like companies that is hiring foreigner and female like me especially.
Would love to hear from all of you.
thank you!

Hi Sahike,
Do you have an engineering degree? It will be useful, as employers need to sponsor work permits for foreigners.
Thankfully, engineering and construction are industries in Nigeria in which many expats find jobs. I'm not sure about how to go about it, but you might be able to find online job listings on the websites of leading engineering and construction firms. I wonder if it might be possible to contact any Nigerian recruitment agencies directly?
You might find some insights in this Expat Arrivals working in Nigeria page, which provides an overview of the job market in the country.
