Hey there,

I've been working in Bahrain for a little while. I joined a new company now and have to transfer my visa so I can legally work with the new employer. My first employer cancelled my visa, and I've been to the immigration authoraties to apply for mobility, so I can switch jobs, but they say I can't get it because its showing that I am out of the country.

Hi there,

I just got hired for a freelance project that will take place in Botswana starting early next yr. The duration of the project is just 3 months - do you think I really need to apply for a work permit for such a short period or can I get away with being in the country on a tourist visa as it is only such a short period ?

Please let me know your thoughts.

Hi there

I've been given the opportunity of a lifetime after being offered a contract by a company in Hong Kong. I really want to make the most of it, but I also don't want to be too pushy and risk blowing the whole thing.

Does anyone have any advice for me?

Anything will be appreciated.

Best wishes,

Kate

Hi there

Thanks for the insights on real estate in Hong Kong. My question now is a bit more broad, but still important, I think. What is it like working in Hong Kong? What are the people like? How far does your money go?

Any insights will be greatly appreciated.

Gerald Smith

I am married with an American woman living and working in Oman and she has had residency there for two years. I am here in Morocco, and I am a Moroccan citizen. Can she sponsor me to go to Oman?

She told me that she only knows of Canadians with a tourist visa who come to visit their wives there, but that I will not be able to. So what is the solution, as I dont like to be apart from my wife?

Please can any British expats living in Australia enlighten me about the healthcare agreements between the UK and Oz. Are UK citizens entitled to free healthcare or do I need to take out health insurance before moving?

Which areas in Hong Kong are good to live in?

Hi there

I'm going to be moving to Hong Kong to take up a mid-level position in finance. I was just wondering whether anyone has some insight into which areas I should be looking at moving to. I don't want a tiny flat, and don't mind moving out of the city, but also don't want to travel for more than an hour to get to work, at the most.

Thanks in advance

My wife and I are moving to Jeddah in the new year and we're just trying to plan everything. The transport issues is something we're a bit concerned about. I've heard that women are not allowed to drive in Saudi and that the public transport is not great. So how is my wife supposed to get around? I'll be at work all day and she is a stay at home mum. Is she going to be able to get out and about? Should we buy a car?

Hi,

I am from India. I want to know whether I need to get my degree certificate attested from my home country everytime i go to Dubai for job visa.

Actually i completed all my attestation work from my home country on my MBA Degree but later my recruitor informed me that the client is facing some problems in visa generation and unfortunately i could not go.

I have been with in this life partner visa process for about 7 months now, my lady is from Taiwan and I am a South African citizen. I have collected a document from home affairs stating that they will be visiting my house to probably come and see if my lady and I are really residing there which is totally fine. I have also been asked to be interviewed with her at home affairs and I was just wondering out of curiosity what kind of questions will be asked during this interview? Thanks Juan
