My husband and I are moving to krakow at the end of June with our 2-year old and 7-month old and are struggling to find accommodation for 2-4 months. Can anyone recommend any good websites or places to stay? Ideally we're looking for a 2-3 bed apartment fairly close to the centre, that would be suitable for small children. Thanks!

What kind of visa do I need to move permanently to Lagos & start a business?

Expert Info

Destination: Lagos
I just returned to Europe from home from a 30 days business trip to Lagos, and I decided to move there permanently and to start my own consulting business. My question: What type of visa/residence permit do I need? STR (Subject to Regulation Visa) and CERPAC (Combined Expatriate Residence Permit and Aliens Card for Nigeria) both require an employment contract, but as I said - I aim to start my own business. I want to avoid going back and forth every 3 months on a business visa. I haven't set up a business in Nigeria yet, I plan to do this during my next stay in Lagos.

I am a resident of Mallorca and I have a NIE number. I'm unemployed, 59 and married to a retired a teacher. My husband has private medical insurance with Sanitas, but I am ineligible for any private insurance because I had cancer 4 years ago but I am now for the last happily clear of this for the last 3.5 y.ears. Currently I cannot get any health cover - and it's worrying me greatly. I know you can make monthly payments into the Spanish mainland health care system but I don't know how I can go about arranging this in Mallorca. Do I need to go to Gestoria?

Destination: Abu Dhabi
Hello, recently I've been offered a position in Abu Dhabi with salary of 21000 AED a month, but no allowances, just medical insurance for self, entry flight ticket for self and flight ticket for self during annual leave. I tried to negotiate the conditions, but company is not willing to. I would like to move to Abu Dhabi with my wife and 6 month baby daughter and I'm not sure if it's reasonable offer. Of course I would like to save some money also, not to spent everything on current needs. Is anyone able to help me?

I am a Californian moving to Madrid, currently employed by a Swedish company, with whom I will have continued employment after the move. I have been a remote worker since moving from NY last year, and will be a remote worker in Madrid. The "Notification of work and residence permit approval (COMUNICACIÓN DE CONCESIÓN DE AUTORIZACIÓN DE TRABAJO Y RESIDENCIA)" is generally discussed in the context of working for a Spanish company. Any advice?

How can I move to China with my large dog?

Expert Info

Destination: Beijing
I will be moving to Beijing in August to teach for 2 years. I am having a very hard time finding an airline that will transport my big dog (90-100#). I want to go from the US to Guangzhou (or any other airport) so as to avoid the quarantine imposed in Beijing. I got a quote from a pet relocation company - $9500 USD. Now that is really, really steep. I just can't do it. I don't want to put her in quarantine, because she doesn't eat when I'm not around. I know she needs to go on a diet, but she would be just skin and bones, if she lived at all. Does anyone know of a way I can do this.

Which school to choose in Costa Del Sol?

Expert Info

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on
Destination: Costa del Sol
Hi, myself & husband along with our 10 year old daughter, are seriously considering a move to the Costa Del Sol in the next 10 months. I'm at present looking at schools and would appreciate any info regarding choosing State or International. At present I'm leaning more towards International, though I really want her to learn spanish, I think at her age it would be too much for her to cope with being placed in a spanish school. Then again there's the costs of international schools, they seem very expensive.
Any info would be much appreciated.
Kindest Regards

Hello! My family and I are thinking of moving to Calgary in the summer. We are wondering what (if any) European electrical appliances can be used in Canada? Also our son currently plays ice hockey for the u9 Black Wings, Linz. We are wondering what clubs are good? We are hoping to move to the Bridlewood area of the city, south west. I have narrowed down an elementary and junior high school in the area, but if anybody has any experience with school in this area I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you for your time.
