Hi there
I am considering going to teach abroad for a year from next year. I know a few friends in South Korea and China, but was wondering about Taiwan, specifically Taipei. What is the quality of life like there, and is will it be less of an adjustment that SK and China?
Any advice would be helpful
Warm regards,
Belinda

Moving to a foreign country is always going to entail some kind of adjustment. You may have an easier time adjusting to life in Taiwan than to living in China, because people in Taiwan are more open to Western culture.
While Taiwan and South Korea are both different, I don't think that a comparison would be clear cut - a lot depends on individual circumstances.
Have a look at our Culture Shock in Taiwan page to get a better idea of what to expect. You can also have a look at Teaching English in Taiwan, an article written by one of our expat experts.
Best of luck,
