What should I expect to be included in my employment offer in retail management in Dubai?

I would be interviewing for a ratail management job in Dubai, on the 25 July 2014, pointers please! My agent tells me if I'm successful I would be offered 15 days accommodation from the date of arrival, My questions - What is the standard store management contract in Dubai Like, does it include accommodation allowance, transport allowance, medical insurance allowance? - and what's the salary range am I looking at (with 5 years retail management)?

Hi Zazi,

Contracts in Dubai vary considerably depending on the employer and can also be dependent on the employee the wish to hire as well. A lot of what is included in a persons employment package will be open for negotiation, so it is important for you to decide what you want and be willing to ask for more, if you think the company is offering to little.

While once lucrative employment packages were the norm in Dubai, this is no longer the case. The government are promoting emiratisation now, and therefore making it more difficult for companies to hire expats. Only those with very specialist skills will be offered so many benefits.
