Hi, we are planning on moving from Stockholm to nairobi.

We are looking into shipping and was wondering if anyone can recommend any cheap shipping options and also if it's worth shipping furniture etc. or just the bare essentials. We don't have particularly nice / valuable things so wondering if its best just to buy everything in Nairobi

Hi there,

I recommend giving our Shipping and Removals in Kenya page a read as it contains much of the information you require. Shipping to Kenya is expensive, but so is renting a furnished home. Therefore, buying household goods when you arrive may very well be your cheapest option. That said, we recommend doing extensive research on the prices of furnished and unfurnished properties before you make this call.

In terms of shipping options, we highly recommend going to Sirelo's website for quotes. They have a network of more than 500 removals companies and you can get up to five free quotes. You are guaranteed a very good service with them and they will certainly help you to find the cheapest options available for your move.

I hope this helps!
