Wondering if it's worth buying a car when I move to Atlanta or is the public transport good enough? What's the best way of getting around in Atlanta?

Hi Phil, the reliability and reach of the MARTA system in Atlanta depends on where you live in the city. If you're going to be living ITP - in the perimeter, you could possibly get away with not ownign a car, but if you're going to be living in the outer suburbs of Atlanta, it's definitely recommended that you buy a car. However, traffic is notriously bad in Atlanta and Atlantan drivers are not exactly known for theit friendliness - so driving in Atlanta is sure to be an experience which you'll need to prepare yourself for. I suggest you take a look at our Getting Around in Atlanta page for more information about transport and driving in the city.
