How long must I stay in Dubai after my interview for an Iranian visa?

Hi i'm Mary from Iran . i married to an iranian with british nationality on 06.04.14 my interview is on 10.07.14 in Dubai ( Wafi mall) i heard after interview , british embassy retain passport so i can not exit Dubai until my visa process finish! would u plz clear me ?? if it takes for example 1 month or 20 days ,i must stay there ? tnx indeed
