Hi,

My wife and I are planning on moving to Saudi Arabia this year or as soon as I get work. What is the best city or area in Saudi Arabia for work in construction / civil engineering?

Whats the living in compounds like for men and women? Can we freely leave the compound during the days?

also what is the health care like there?

Hi,

Saudi Arabia is a great place for foreigners with special skills to find a job. Most foreigners choose to live in compounds. These are basically just separate areas that are walled off where expats live together. Compounds range in size and luxury. Some are only a few apartments, while others may contain multiple homes, villas and facilities like shops and hairdressers.

Healthcare in Saudi Arabia is of a very high standard. May healthcare workers are also foreigners, so it won't be hard to find English speaking help in these settings.
