Hello,
We are moving to Berlin (long term) from India in October 2023 with 15-year-old son (english speaking).
He just started 11th grade in India this month.
Wondering how would his schooling continue in Berlin? What are the options?
He is open to learning German (we all are).
Would highly appreciate any insight.
thank you!

Hi there,
Congratulations on making the big move! There are plenty of schooling options in Berlin. Most expats with older children choose to send them to international schools to allow them to continue their education in a familiar curriculum and language.
There are also bilingual public schools, which would allow your son to learn both German and English. Bilingual public schools typically have no tuition fees attached to them but the facilities and extra-curricular activities on offer at international schools are generally better.
We recommend having a look at Education and Schools in Berlin and International Schools in Berlin for more information and to find suitable options.
Best of luck!
