Hi - looks like I can relocate to Budapest, Hungary for a couple of years with my husband. I was wondering about getting a job there - maybe a call center or something else at a global firm where I could put my English skills to use. Any idea what the job market is like for call center work? Any idea what the pay would be and if I could get more as a native English speaker? Thanks

Hi! Would you be interested in a language teaching? You could have conversations with a bit more advanced students/pupils. When I was living in Budapest, as Hungarian citizen, I was learning English as my third language there. Good luck. Don't forget to learn some Hungarian, it will benefit and enrich you

Kind regards: Leonora

Hi D,

I agree with Lenora.

It might be best to consider getting a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certificate before you arrive in Hungary. This should position you to be able to teach English at one of the few language centres in Budapest.
