I'm thinking of moving to Amsterdam to experience a bit more European culture and just to do something different - as an EU citizen do I need a visa and work permit for the Netherlands if I want to do this?

HI.I am a South African that has been accepted for a Aviation position in Abu Dhabi.I have firstly waited for six weeks to get management approval for the position and have now been told it has been submitted to the department of labour.Could you tell me how long does it take for this approval,or is there a way of tracking the approval process. I would also like to know if the villa complex of Al Reef is recommended for a family with 3 young children

We will be visiting Jeddah for a few days in a couple of weeks because my husband has been offered a job there and before accepting, we want to see what it is like. Now I have read a lot about Jeddah on this forum as well as on others, but what I would like to know if i should start wearing an abaya the minute I leave the plane? Or can I wait till we leave our hotel for example or, if I dress conservatively, can I refrain from wearing the abaya for the few days we will be there? I do not wish to offend. Any advice or experiences?

Hi my husband has an offer to move to AD and would love to know whether it is an offer we should accept given our circumstances. We are a family of 3 (1 very young baby)& only he will be working: Salary is USD 18.000 per month Most of the normal benefits. Is buying a nearly new second hand car a good idea? Hi, Could anyone please enlighten me about the situation in jeddah. I am to be deployed by my company early next year to set up a small production plant in Jeddah for Effective Microorganism @ for cleaning industy. I am tasked to set up the operation and to look for small factory or warehouse facility to house the production and storage. I know that Hong Kong was rated as the 9th most expensive place to live in 2011 but just wondering what are the most expensive places & the cheapest places to live in Hong Kong? When I say the most expensive or the cheapest, I'm simply asking overall (eg. rent, groceries, transport, etc). Thanks!

Does anyone have their kids at the Integrated International School in Singapore? I hear they have a very good special needs programme, is this true? Any comments and insights welcome!

Hey everyone, we're moving to Amsterdam in a few months and we just trying to gather as much info as possible before we make the big move. One important thing we are concerned about is transport. I've heard the Dutch transport system is excellent. Do you think it's worth buying a car in Holland or can we get by with just relying on the public transport in the Netherlands? 

Hello - we are doing some research on the GEMS Royal Dubai School? If there are any parents reading this forum who have children or have had children at the school please get in touch. How do you rate the school, the facilities, the staff etc. Also what other English curriculum schools would you recommend for primary school in Dubai?

Hello - we are trying to find out about the GEMS Cambridge International School in Dubai and have been looking online for comments by parents who have their children there - but we cannot find any! We are planning a move to Qatar from South Africa. we have two small children aged 2 and 4. Both of us applied for jobs but with my expertise there is not a lot of jobs readily available. My wife on the other hand will most certainly find a job easily. Is it possible for my wife to sponsor me to go to Qatar? We have heard that only our children could be sponsored by her to move to Qatar.
