I am sure you will be able to manage very well in ghana with 2500. Average ghanaians have less than 1000 and are happy with it

unless if u have a high standard of living, you should be okay with $2500.Average ghanaians with a bachelors degree get paid between $500 and $1200. if its a masters degree you have then it is not a good deal.

It all depends on where you live. In Accra, no way - that's not enough money. The housing is expensive and so are the schools. In a place like Tamale, Wa or Bolga, you should be fine. Kumasi, Ho, Takoradi, Cape Coast, those would be places you would have to be thrifty in to live on 2500 a month, but it would be possible. Just depends on what your standards are. I can find housing in Tamale for less than $25 a month but there are also options that are in the hundreds.

I have an offer of job in Ghana with free accommodation, free food, electricity, water and transport with free laundary. The salary offered is around $900, which will be paid in Indian currency and will be tax free. They are providing even the to and fro air fair to India once in two years and its basically a two years contract with them. Please suggest should i take up the job or not.

Anyone who is not extravagant can live in Ghana, including Accra on $2,500/month (and certainly $900 with free accommodation, utilities etc). If you want to live the life of a colonial officer (as apparently the person saying nothing less than $5000) -- servants, posh car, dining out every day, parties, expensive clothes, then no $2,500 will not be enough. But with that attitude, we have enough of such people in Ghana already and would say don't come. Then again, you have to ask yourself what you think you are worth and then it doesn't really matter if it's "enough". it's about qualifications, experience, etc.
