Affordable places to live near American schools in Abu Dhabi?

Hi, My husband accepted a job working in Abu Dhabi. We have two children who will be starting school next year and I was just looking for some information on affordable communities near an American School and Pre-School. I was also hoping for some information on enrolling children into school. My husbands salary includes AED 30,000 per child with a housing allowance of AED 140,000. Any information is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Congrats on your upcoming move and leap into expat life!

I would suggest looking at GEMS American Academy or Raha International School for starters, both are located in Khalifa A. My kids both attended Raha after coming here from the US, and I found their IB curriculum to be top notch. My son was able start Virginia Tech with a year of credits under his belt thanks to the IB diploma. My daughter is currently a junior at Raha, and she loves it.
