Hi I am British currently in kuwait on a tourist visa.

I am going to India in a month and wish to obtain a visa.

Can you advise me if this can be done as I would be applying for it in kuwait?

Also what type?

Hi Jill,

The type of visa you apply for should depend on the purpose of your visit. You can read more about the different types of visas available on the Expat Arrivals Visas for India page.

Which ever, visa you go for you can apply at the nearest Indian embassy, it does not have to be in your home country. I am also British and applied for an Indian visa while I was in Sri Lanka.

If you want to save yourself some time you can utilise the services of VFS Global who have been appointed by the Indian government to assist with visas.

I'm Angolan and I would like to have my family visa for leaving while my old kids will be studying there for university and secondary schools. My wife as well will get advantage to study. What kind of visas would I applied for? And what also about documentation. My self I will be traveling back and forth for my work.
