Hi, i have been offered a position to work in riyhad accompanied with the family but my wife has a wedding cake business which she is keen to carry on with would she still be able to do this in riyhad also we have a 16 year old girl who has just started an engineering course in college is there anywhere she maybe able to continue this in riyhad

Hi Stephen,

As a women in Saudi Arabia, you wife may struggle to set up a business as the country is incredibly patriarchal. But that doesn't mean it is impossible. You should try to get in touch with others who have set up small businesses in Saudi Arabia and get their input.

As for your daughter, you will have to see wether there is an international school in Riyadh that can accommodate her and can teach engineering.
