Can we live in a motor home in the UK? Is it a good idea?

Hoy mates, we are thinking of moving to the Uk but want to see what its like in a motor home, is this a good idea? We are a french couple with 4 children, a nice motor home with 9 places to sleep and carte gris 7 places, this means we can live in it like a home which is allot cheaper then renting in the UK until we learn where we like to live. Can this work? will i be able to register an address if i started working with a company there, is there a way like in france where you can register your MH at a town hall or police and receive mail like your address ? If there is a way to live inside our MH for at least a months amount of time to help us decide where a to live and where to work or send the kids to school please share., we should be entitled to our own benefits from france for up to 3+ months so that helps., its just that we are un decided between london or living in the lower west areas.
