I am a single male and soon to start work in Riyadh. I have found lots of names for compounds but few web sites, fewer addresses so trying to match location and where I will be working is hard. Has anyone compiled a list of all compounds Is it recommended to live outside a compound as a single male Has anyone gone from compound to outside and for what reason Thanks in anticipation

Hi Ukuleleman

Please have a look at our Accommodation in Riyadh page. You will find our list of popular compounds for expats. Expat compounds are in high demand and it may take a while to find one. If it isn't too late, I'd suggest trying to negotiate accommodation in one into your contract. That said, increasingly expats moving to Saudi Arabia live outside of a compound at first while they wait for a place to open up (this can take quite a while).

On one of our previous threads about this same question, an expat suggested the site http://ksacompounds.com/home.html

When are you moving to Riyadh?

Kind regards,
Alex
