My husband has been offered a job in Oman, and we're weighing the pros and cons before he accepts. We've never lived in a Middle Eastern country, though we have travelled extensively. Can anybody comment on the restrictive nature of the culture? Is it difficult to live in Oman according to liberal western habits? Do women need to wear headscarves all the time?

Oman is quite liberal in terms of dressing, only islamic women are expected to wear the head scarves all the time.
anyhow, there are some dress codes that we have to respect,,,no vulgur or revealing
