I am retired in U.S. and my Medicare plan is not effective in France. What kind of health insurance I can obtain in order to be qualified when I request a long term residency permit at French Consulate in U.S. I know that it is second important requirement after your monthly social security source of income for living. I found number of Global coverages with outrageous premiums: $ 1029.00 per/month and up. Any suggestions ? Thank you
