How easily can I move to Cyprus from the UK?

my dad lives in cyprus and i want to go out and live with him . what do i need todo to beable to do this and what do i need to beable to work? only after a small job in a bar . i know i will need my passport . i will have bank statements with over £10,000 in i need to apply for a resident permit as soon as i get there but i want to make sure i have all the paper work for them so wondering what do i need as proof that i will be living with my dad or any other paper work that will make me look good ? thanks

was planing just to work in a bar or erving food etc as i will be living with my dad thats been there 20 years plus . i will have 10 - 12000 ££ in bank as well which ive been told helps

Hi Richard,

To stay long-term in Cyprus you'll need to land yourself a permenant job offe. As a British citizen there are no restrictions on you working in Cyprus so as long as you are adequatly qualified you will be able to take a job.

Hi,

What nationality are you? If you are British or from elsewhere in the EU you'll be able to work in Cyprus without too much hassle.

Hi there,

Having those savings will certainly act in your favour when applying for long-term residency. Also landing yourself a job could also bolster your case.

Have you contacted the Immigration Control Board in Cyprus yet? They set the requirements.
